PHYSICAL SECURITY

- Customers lock their stores and keep the keys.
ACCESS
- Customers may access their stores free of charge, during business hours, on presentation of their name, store number and personal ID number.
- Access after 20H00 and up to 06H00 is by prior arrangement.
- All access is monitored by Plett Storage security staff .
- Strict client confidentiality is observed at all times.
FIRE PROTECTION
- Individual lock-up concrete stores.
- No electric lights or points in the stores.
- Steel non-flammable doors.
- No flammable liquids, gasses etc. may be stored.
- No explosive materials.
- Fire-fighting equipment checked regularly.
WATER / STORM PROTECTION
- Site designed to shed surface water directly into council storm water drains.
- All surfaces built to fall away from buildings to the surface channels.
- All floors are raised +2cm above outside ground level.
- Damp-proof membranes under all floors and walls.
- Weather strips under ground floor steel doors.
- Roof structures fall away from prevailing wind driven rain.
GENERAL
- Each facility is run by a manager and assistant who supervise daily activities and check systems regularly. To-date the majority of Plett Storage customers are repeat customers and referrals suggesting that the systems are effective and providing customer satisfaction.
